In the current issue of Blue Ridge Country Magazine, the City of Pickens was featured as a place to visit in the upstate of South Carolina. The article spotlighted several of the downtown businesses along with Hagood Mill, the museum and the Hagood-Mauldin House. The magazine, which is distributed across the country features towns across the mountain regions from Maryland to Alabama. Pickens was chosen for its unique charm and location to give the readers of Blue Ridge Country a place to visit. Pickens truly is a unique place.
Pickens resident Al Wilson’s company, TSP, was named by the S. C. Chamber of Commerce as one of the top 25 fastest growing companies in South Carolina. This award focuses on the achievement of privately and publicly owned businesses and their contributions to the State’s economy. The 2009 rankings were determined using a proprietary weighted equation tied to increases in gross revenues and full-time employment. TSP offers a complete line of residential and commercial landscape and irrigation products. Congratulations to Al and everyone at TSP.
