Business After Hours:
On September 15, 2009, One Stop Office Supply hosted a Business After Hours for Chamber members. One of the special events was the performance of a group of young musicians called the Young Appalachian Musicians,(YAMs). This is a group of interested children in Pickens County learning to play traditional songs of the mountains on stringed instruments. The musicians were Gabe Sickels (mandolin), Payton O’Kelley (fiddle), Turner Corbett (guitar), Danielle Yother (guitar), and Samantha Morgan (banjo). You can learn more about YAMs by sending them an e-mail to posam_info@yahoo.com or by calling 864-878-4257.
Along with the music, the members enjoyed a time of fellowship and sharing of business ideas. The next Business After Hours is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2009 between 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm. Business After Hours is only one of the benefits for Chamber members. The others are listed below.
