This is the first edition of a series of columns by the Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce to highlight the activities within the Chamber over the next several months. I hope you will gain a better idea of the businesses that make-up the membership of the Chamber along with a better understanding of the Chamber and what it means for the community.
Each month the chamber recognizes a Chamber member of the month. This recognition reflects that member’s contribution to various Chamber activities throughout the year. Another section will be to spotlight a business within the Chamber. Though these sections as well as others, I hope you will develop a greater awareness of the businesses within greater Pickens.
One of the other areas the Chamber is involved in is Leadership Pickens County. This is a program sponsored by the four Chambers of Commerce in Pickens County. It is designed to create leadership in Pickens County by equipping individuals for the decision making process in Pickens. Leadership Pickens County is open to anyone who lives or works in Pickens County and has an interest in leading Pickens forward.
